Susanna Edwards

Hi, I am Susanna, director and founder of the School of Creative Wellness, a heart centred business for women. I work with businesses and women to provide yoga, breathwork and creative workshops for women facing multiple pressures in their lives. Are you juggling a million things? Do you find it hard to prioritise self care? I can help you.

I discovered yoga in my twenties whilst working in London as a graphic artist and educator in higher education. Twenty years on, a single mum and a full time university lecturer and programme leader, the pressures of a full time career meant less time on the matt and an unhealthy work life balance. Life had a lack of balance and joy. Yearning for change, I returned to yoga and began the journey of reconnecting with my body, mind and the environment and people around me. Yoga and this process of reconnection became more important than my job, I quickly gained strength and clarity inside and out and here I am on a new, more relevant journey based on the principles of empathy, compassion and care. Taking the leap to study at Yoga Teachers College, YOGABODY’s professional education school under the renowned Lucas Rockwood was a hugely transformative experience. In an increasingly complex world I now hold a space for people to reconnect and integrate self care into their daily routines. Continuing my journey in learning, I play an active part of the YOGABODY alumni community, regularly meeting, delivering and attending classes to further and deepen my practice. Previous practice experience include Iyengar, Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Restorative yoga. Interests in body and movement, connecting with local and global communities, design, creativity and making have led me to start my own School of Creative Wellness: working online and in person, providing tool kits, classes and workshops to enable and empower individuals and communities. Qualified as a yoga flow teacher, a breath work coach and stretching coach I now work with local communities and online. Having written, designed and delivered education online and in person for over 20 years, my yoga practice operates locally and globally and is themed, targeted and tailored to the needs particular student groups and individuals.
