I've been studying ways to relate to our needs, relationships, desires, joy, and our place in this world through Yoga and Ayurveda for many years. At times this has been a wonderful, easeful experience. At other periods, terribly difficult. I've learned that I can use these seemingly simple practices to create real change and ease.

I became fascinated with Hatha Yoga by reading about the postures from a paperback book in my bedroom by myself. My first certification was not until I was in my forties, when I was working as a NASM personal trainer and studying holistic health. I felt cracked open in the very best of ways. Covid brought it\'s challenges but also the gift of my first 300-hour yoga psychiatry course. Perfect timing.

I\'m sure many would say that I\'ve gone a bit overboard with learning and training. If anything, though, I feel so much more humble and curious. I value the connection with students (who are actually my teachers) and the people I come into contact with.

It is a beautiful place to experience the lightness that comes with welcoming these teachings and being okay with the sorrow and pain that are also part of life. These practices are available to each of us when we are ready.
